Introduction: The CEPMEIP project
The Co-ordinated European Programme on Particulate Matter Emission Inventories, Projections and Guidance (CEPMEIP) is part of the activities aimed at supporting national experts in reporting particulate matter emission inventories to the EMEP programme under the UNECE Convention on Long Range Transport of Air Pollutants (CLRTAP). Within this work programme, TNO has compiled an overview of particulate emission estimation methods and applied these in a European emission inventory for particulates for the base year 1995.
This site gives access to the main results of the project.

The data have been collected and interpreted to our best knowledge. Information obtained from countries has been incorporated into the system. The results however do not represent official emission estimates for the countries, as they are calculated with the CEPMEIP proposed emission factors.
