The NEIS BU (National Emission Inventory System - Basic Unit) is the software tool used by Environmental Departments of the District Offices to collect and store the emission data declared by companies (operators of large and middle sources of air pollution) submitted on NEIS questionnaires. The data stored shall be used for calculation of emissions from each source, and for calculation of the emission fees to be paid by the operator. Further, the data collected shall be forwarded electronically to SHMU on an annual basis.
